The bottle had already been commented that it was not useable, the analysis provided a deep dive of what those issues were and assigning a severity ranking. It was critical that these issues were not carried forward into the new product development. A few criteria that worked with the original bottle was the clean aesthetic, durable, leak proof (could trust the bottle) were a positive experience. The goals evaluated were to understand the frequency of beverages consumed and were there a need to support multiple beverages (beyond water and coffee). The students quickly responded that cost of speciality beverages, access to and time to prepare fruit for infusing were not feasible. The users were most supportive of the mug with the experiential qualities. A user could secure the mug to their belt loop or back pack to free a hand carrying their multiple technology devices. The day in the life of a Prime student is intense learning environment. Their thirst for knowledge is as equal as their personal need to quench their their thirst. On the first day of school one of the first lessons for the Full Stack Engineers is how to make coffee. Working with the Prime team I was able to learn the culture, collaboration, dedication and daily tasks of the Full Stack Engineers. Prime originally provided a water bottle to the students on their first day of school. The original product had been discontinued and also was noted that the bottle was not useable and impersonal. The user interface to get a coffee/tea/water should not be a difficult task for the students. Durability, stability and easy to maneuver around were some of the key basic needs met the goals, the do-goals. I sketched out some concepts of what on-boarding means for users. The Sherpa app intention was to guide beginner investors through their investing experience. The team had a notion of components that would support new users on-boarding. The on-boarding allows Sherpa to get to know the user. The initial profile anchors the investor by stating their goals for investing. The goal may be for long term investing, to buy a house or saving for a family. The idea of the profile page then sparked a conversation within the team about investors viewing other investors profiles.
